Baron Digby - The title Baron Digby, of Geashill in the King's County, was created in 1620 in the Peerage of Ireland for Robert Digby, Governor of King's County. He was the nephew of John Digby, 1st Earl of Bristol.

John Digby, 1st Earl of Bristol - John Digby, 1st Earl of Bristol (1580-1653), was an English diplomatist, son of Sir George Digby of Coleshill, Warwickshire, and of Abigail, daughter of Sir Arthur Henningham. Digby lived at Sherborne Castle, Dorset.

Everard Digby - Sir Everard Digby (May 16 1578 - January 30 1606) was one of those inculpated in the abortive 1605 Gunpowder Plot to assassinate James I of England and Members of Parliament. Knighted by James on the way to his accession to the throne, Digby became involved in the plot only late in the day, and his involvement was thought to be purely of a fiscal nature.

William Digby - William Digby was a British author and humanitarian. Digby was based in British-ruled India (see British Raj) where he was witness to several famines that devastated India, including a disastrous famine in Madras in the mid-1870s that killed millions.
