The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde - The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a novella written by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson first published in 1886. It is about a London lawyer who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the misanthropic man Edward Hyde.

He then burned the draft and, upon his wife's advice, rewrote it as the darkly complex tale it is today. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde When a brute of a man tramples an innocent girl, apparently out of spite, two bystanders catch the fellow hyde jekyll resurrection and force him to pay reparations to the girl's family. The brute's name is Edward Hyde.
